As a facilitator for improvised movement, Spike King’s key aims are to nurture a feeling of play, research and experimentation. In his practice Spike works with visualising sensations within the body to encourage a deeper bodily listening, often working in meditative states to allow the mind to switch off and the body to lead the movement. With this in mind this session is accessible to dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels and will include guided improvisation, space to explore within group improvisations and a small amount of contact work honing in on the feeling of touch.
