This highly physical class led by choreographer, performer and teacher Alethia Antonia will draw on various movement styles and practices to explore physicality, musicality, dynamics, and flow. It will begin with exploring physicality through improvisation and structured movement patterns to encourage flow and develop strength, mobility and connectivity through the whole body. This will build into set standing and floor work phrases and accumulate in sequence that integrates all elements. Throughout there will be an emphasis put on working within one’s individual body while maintaining a dedication to testing one’s own capabilities and to find new possibilities. The class is suitable for those with some movement experience through to professionals.
